I like creepy and happy trees.
Overall, this is good.
With the smooth lines and neat shading.
But I am going to agree with what people have mentioned, it would be nice if it had a darker shade.
Especially at the trees' 'eyes' and 'mouth' so that the red eyes really do glare and glow.
Perhaps the outer ring of the whole image would be best dark and gradually becomes light when it approaches the character.

Colour choice isn't so bad here but based on the dark tints of green in the background, the overall picture would be better slightly pale.
Like in night time.
Unless this is night time, then the colour of the trees should be less saturated.
What would be cool to see is that there were more stuff in the background, even if they're just silhouettes of trees.
Or spiderwebs. Or fogs that appear to have shapes of something that suggests fear.
Yes, that, and make it blurred at some parts.
