This is simply perfect; a creepy picture to go with my most recent creepy fangirling (eg SCP, Creepypasta etc) Let's just get to it!

The first thing I notice about the image itself is it's wonderful colour choice, as I always say, per the usual for Chocolatechilla; I personally wouldn't have chosen purple for the main hanging creature's colour, but due to the knowledge chocolatechilla clearly has on colour selection, contrast and shading, purple is one of the good options, as it blends well with the amber glow of the sunset in the background.

The hanged creature in the middle of the picture, crumpled into an awkward position must have taken plenty of work; it's wonderfully intricate and detailed, with the colouring across the body, the shading/lighting to accompany it, the thick-looking padding on the feet, tail, flank and neck and the free flow of the mane and tail.

The hair on the hanging creature's body is simply beautiful; it's very detailed, with the white shine and small black lines to make it have a very in depth view, and the multi-colour shading that changes from slightly warmer purples, pinks and blues, to darker, more sinister blues and purples blended with an amass of blacks and greys.

My favourable part of the picture is the winged creepy crawly down the bottom edge of the picture; I enjoy the interpretation of "healing the broken hearted" in this part; the hanged creature's heart is being 'cleansed' by the black creepy crawly below it, thus 'healing' it of it's past problems and angst, or at least, that's what I see in the picture. Everyone has their own views.

I also enjoy the eyes of the creature; they have a wonderful glow on them, causing the viewer to imagine that the creature above, (staring down at him) is possibly under his control, or that he is hypnotizing the creature to take away the pain whilst he is 'cleansing' him of his past.

The only part that confuses me is the hanged creature's face; there's a trail line that most likely is a tear trail on it's cheek, but it looks slightly too far away from the eye for me to fully draw this conclusion, and I'm left pondering. But it must be a tear trail, as the creature has tears in it's eyes, so that cancels any other conclusion.

Regardless of the one parting problem, as always, this has been a wonderful artwork to critique, and I enjoyed viewing and writing about it.

I look forward to more work in the future from you, chocolatechill! keep up the good work!
